Abstract

Environmental load is the key design for coastal structure which consist of wind speed, wave height and wave current. The design for every coastal structure, must be more than the extreme loadings that includes tsunami, el Niño, and other climate and geological effects. The extreme wave height may be determined with the annual maxima or joint
distribution. Based on the study conducted, it is proposed that for a wave mean return interval of 50 years will give a results of associated wave design and current design of 10 years for all 6 platforms that are currently under study. As for future studies, upon the completion of joint density of all the environmental load, the study will be extended more on finding the deeper relation on the environmental load which might give more benefit to the advance platform design.
