Abstract
With the advent of the Internet, there is a dramatic growth of data available on the World Wide Web. In order to reduce information overload, Web Personalization was introduced as a significant tool that provided important impact on drawing users’ attention in adapting vital information such as adapting health information. A personalized web application was developed using Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) as a tool. The technique that was adopted is content-based filtering system applying cookies functionality to identify user’s profile. The result of the study proved that in order to captivate users’ attention towards raising health awareness, the design of the interface gave an impact towards the adaptation of the content. Therefore, the personalization of the interface and content according to one’s preference played an important role in enhancing users’ surfing experience.
