Abstract

Gas turbine is a complex assembly of a variety of components and the design operation theories of these
individual components are complex. Furthermore, the gas turbine often runs at off-design conditions due to
change of load or ambient condition. Therefore, when evaluating the overall performance of the gas turbine, it is
important to account for all operating conditions that can encounter. And for the analysis mathematical
modeling is the most economical solution. A single shaft gas turbine for power generation was considered to
examine its performance. Using component model computer simulation of the gas turbine was developed.
Simulation model was used to analyze the performance and operating strategy of the gas turbine plant at steadystate
operation. The model was validated using a set of experimental data.
