Abstract

Bedding plane has significant influence on sound velocity
(P-wave & S-wave). Many researchers have conducted studies regarding Gassmann’s equations.Gassmann’s equations are most widely used to relate seismic velocity changes due to different fluid saturations in reservoirs. Although several researchers have investigated the effect of saturation on P-wave velocity using Gassmann’s model, none of them has derived empirical equation between Gassmann’s Vp and the experimental Vp. This study projected the investigation of the effect of bedding plane towards P-wave velocity changes at different water saturation changes.
