Abstract

Predictive deadtime is a control scheme that
applies in the gate driver to overcome the problem that
relates with the dead time delay. This control scheme uses
the prediction concept based on the feedback from the
circuit to predict the next switching cycle of a gate driver.
The expected outcome from this project is an increase in
efficiency of the converter. This paper basically discusses
about the analysis of the predictive controller in converter’s performance. Having a controlled deadtime, converter’s
efficiency has shown improvement compared to
conventional technique. Nevertheless, the project work
mainly concentrates on reference voltage, Vref variations of
comparator input. The details are discussed thoroughly that
include limitations and advantages in the design of the
controller.
