Abstract
The solar chimney is one technology which has proved capability of generating electrical energy from the sun. The solar chimney consists of a chimney coupled with a translucent collector which heats the air near the ground and guides it into the base of a tall chimney. The buoyant air ascends in the chimney and electricity is generated by the warm air moving through one or more turbines at the base of the chimney coupled with generator. However, since the sun is not available during night and cloudy days, there should be another source of input to guaranteed continuous operation of the system. The aim of this study is to develop an experimental, computational and mathematical models of Solar Chimney backed up with an enhancing heat resource.
