Abstract

Planning our daily meal is important to control amount intake of calories that suit with our body. The amount of calories needed depends on age, gender and daily activities of an individual. An intelligent web based system is able to help many people to plan their daily meal menus. This paper describes the development of web based system meal menu planner using Case Based Reasoning (CBR) technique. It focuses on users in Malaysia with variety of Malaysian food. From a usability testing, respondents agree that the developed system is user friendly, flexible, easy to navigate and consistent. These features encourage users to continuously use the system to plan amount of intake calories daily.
