THE ‘BACKBENCHERS’ OF THE CLASSROOM: The Case of an ESL Classroom

The purpose of this study is to find out the probable reasons as to why a particular group of students would act in a certain manner as reflected through their choice actions and behaviors in the classrooms. This study is particularly interested on the students who chose their seats at the back of the classroom. These students would willingly position themselves at the back row of the classroom during all language learning classes.
