Abstract
A simple procedure for the determination of methanogenic activity of sludges, feasible for usage in less equipped laboratories, is presented. It can be used with proper methodology for conducting studies of anaerobic processes including effects of stimulants/toxicants and environmental conditions, treatability of different wastes and determination of kinetic coefficients of sludges.
