Abstract

This work investigates the extraction of Jatropha seeds oil utilizing supercritical carbon dioxide. The yield of the extraction increased with time and the extraction process can be clarified into slow and fast extraction region. In the modelling of the supercrital extraction process, Reverchon-Sesti Osseo model and its modified form were used to compare with the yield of oil obtained experimentally. Both models were found to be in good agreement.
